After a lot of research Brooke finally identified a trial that may help. She spoke with Marcus and then consulted with her doctor who, though unfamiliar with the trial, agreed that she should proceed. When she visited the site for more information, she was given a pile of documents and forms.
As she looked through this paperwork, her first real introduction to the clinical trial process, Brooke found herself growing apprehensive. She had difficulty understanding the technical, legal, and medical language.
When she had completed her paper work she learned that the Site Coordinator was not available to review her documents before Brooke left. Her anxiety about the process was heightened: what was she getting herself into?
